What is twitter?

Twitter is a new social networking service. It is very similar to the likes of Facebook, but instead of having lots of applications, profile information and pictures, it is mainly status based, making it a lot easier and simpler to use.

How to sign up

Step One:

Visit http://twitter.com, and click on the 'Sign Up' button. Sign Up Button

Here you will need to follow the on screen instructions to create your own username, password and twitter page.

 

Step Two:

Once you have signed up, you can make your Twitter page your own.

All you need to do this is click on 'Settings' in the top navigation bar. Settings

Here you can add your picture and change the design and appearance of your twitter page.

To check out what your page looks like, just select profile and it will show you what other fellow tweeters will see. Profile

Step One: Signing in

Once you are registered you will be automatically signed in. However, if you are already a twitter user then all you need to do is click on the 'Sign In' button on the twitter homepage - http://twitter.com Sign In

 

Step Two: Following Us

You will need to 'follow' us in order to get our twitter updates.

To do this you can either visit http://twitter.com/cambstimes or click on 'Find People' and search for CambsTimes

Once you are on our twitter page click the 'Follow' Button. Follow Button

From this moment on you will now be following us, so when you sign in or visit your homepage all our twitter news updates will be there for you to see.
