THEY’VE done it again! Talented young engineers from the Neale Wade Community College at March have won the regional final of the F1 in Schools competition for the second year running.

The team - called Team Revolution - won the fastest car and overall winners trophies in their class, and they will now go forward to the national finals at the NEC at Birmingham next month.

Team Revolution are getting used to winning prizes, back in 2010/11 they won the top prize in the Kids are Alright competition, sponsored by this newspaper.

F1 in Schools is an international competition for schools children aged 11 to 18, in which groups of youngsters have to design and manufature a miniature car out of balsa wood using CAD/CAM design tools, and powered by C02 cartirdges

Team Revolution faced some tough competition at the Central England Regional Finals at Loughborough University to take top place. A “rookie” team from Neale Wade Community College, called “Team Skyline” also put in a very creditable performance.
