Cadets from Whittlesey Detachment, No 1 (Hereward) Company, Cambridgeshire Army Cadet Force received badges from Whittlesey Royal British Legion branch vice chairman Geoff Butler at a ceremony at the Ivy Leaf Club, Whittlesey.

Also attending were Royal British Legion county president Colonel Colin Elsden and Mayor of Whittlesey, Councillor David Mason.

Branch affiliation enables members to work together with youth organisations, such as army cadets, on fund-raising projects.

Lieutenant Kevin Twidale said: “It’s a great privilege and opportunity for the cadets to be associated with the Legion, one which will benefit us both for many years to come.”
