Police are appealing for information after a teenage boy was hit by a car in Wisbech.

The 13-year-old suffered minor injuries in the collision with a silver Vauxhall car in Lynn Road near to the BP Garage at about 3.50pm on Monday (10).

The driver of the vehicle, described as a man aged about 60, failed to stop at the scene.

PC Kurt Allen, investigating, said: “The boy was extremely shaken up by the incident and I would urge anyone who saw the collision, or who saw where the vehicle went following it, to call police.

“I would also appeal to the driver involved to come forward.”

Anyone with any information should call PC Allen on 101.
