A family-run car dealership with a clear focus on customer service won the Small Business of the Year award.

Paragon Motor Company, of Wisbech, sells pre-owned vehicles and offers a servicing and repair facilities for all makes of Vehicle.

Established in 2000 and specialising in Vauxhall products and services, the company has become one of the area’s leading independent motor dealers.

Judges described the business as a “family run business returning a profit year on year for 13 years. Its focus is clearly on customer service with very high repeat business”.

The judges added: “The objectives are clear and sustainable with realistic growth which will see a move its current leasehold property to a larger freehold.”

Clifford’s Heating Ltd, Wisbech

Clifford’s Heating offers a wide range of services, from a simple wood burning stove to complex multi-energy heating systems.

Keen to keep current with new technology, the company ensures staff are trained and authorised to carry out installation work or offer advice when needed.

The retail outlet offers a large range of multi-fuel stoves, cookers, fireside accessories and fireplaces.

Wisbech Community Development Trust

The trust owns and runs the Oasis Community Centre, in the Waterlees ward of Wisbech.

It relies on the income from the hire of rooms and the manager applies for grants, working with partners, to put on learning opportunities for the community to enrich their quality of life.

Georges March Ltd

The community pub, restaurant and coffee tavern is looking to become the best-known venue for live entertainment in March.
