Businesses invited to energy awareness day to learn about how to become more efficient

An energy awareness day to help small and medium businesses (SMEs) become more energy efficient will be held next month.
The event, which has been organised by Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce and March based energy consultancy CUB (UK) Ltd, will be held at the Cambridgeshire FA Headquarters on May 14.
It will bring together energy management companies, energy suppliers and energy consultancies to discuss options available to SMEs and answer questions about the challenges they face.
Businesses are invited to bring along their energy bills so they can receive a free bill checking service to make sure they are being invoiced correctly.
Jodie Busby, senior account manager at CUB, said: “The bill checking process is an easy one, it only takes a few minutes but it could easily save an organisation money.
“With SMEs, we find that those who receive estimated bills are often overcharged for their actual consumption and we want to make people aware that these are areas where businesses can make quick gains for little effort.”
