The Bishop of Ely the Right Revd Stephen Conway conducted a Palm Sunday service at a Fenland church.

Before the service at the Church of St James, Newton in the Isle, a procession took place from Gorefield to Newton which also involved members of St Pauls (Gorefield), St Leonard’s (Leverington), St Giles (Tydd), St Mary’s (Wisbech St Mary) and Emanuel (Parsons Drove).

Afterwards, the Bishop consecrated an area of donated land next to the graveyard.
