Crunch time for Corkers whose 2p from each limited edition packet sold gives a massive boost to Liam Fairhurst Foundation

Pymoor-based crisp manufacturer Corkers handed over a cheque for £1,200 to the Liam Fairhurst Foundation this week.

The funds were raised from sales of the salty snack across the region, with the company pledging to donate 2p from every limited edition pack sold to the Soham charity.

This week, charity founder Callum Fairhurst popped into Corkers headquarters to receive the cheque from managing director, Rod Garnham.

The foundation was launched in 2011 by Callum in memory of his brother and Corkers has been a supporter since the start.

Liam was diagnosed with a soft tissue cancer in his leg and lungs in July 2005 when he was just 10–years-old. He went on to raise £340,000 for charity before his death in 2009.
