BRITISH Transport Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the theft of a bicycle from Peterborough train station.
The bike, which was locked at the cycle racks, was stolen on January 24.
PC Simon Corden, investigating, said: “The victim, a 48-year-old man from Peterborough, left his bike securely locked at the cycle racks. When he returned at 6pm, he noticed his bike had been taken.”
Officers are continuing their enquiries but are appealing for anyone who recognises the man pictured to come forward.
PC Corden added: “Officers work tirelessly to crack down on cycle theft, which cause victims great distress, often leaving them stranded at the station and having to find other means to get home.
“If you recognise the man pictured, please come forward.”
Anyone with information which could assist the investigation is asked to call British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference B5/LNA of 11/02/13.
