A woman from King’s Lynn has been disqualified from driving for two years following the death of a motorcyclist in a road traffic collision last year.

On Saturday, February 16 2013, a black Audi and a black Aprilia motorbike collided on the A149 at Castle Rising.

The male motorcyclist, 32-year-old Matthew Thompson, of Wimbotsham, died in hospital as a result of injuries sustained in the collision.

At King’s Lynn Magistrates Court today, Maureen Haller, 58, of Langlands in King’s Lynn, was given the ban and ordered to serve a 120 hour Community Service Order which needs to be completed in the next 12 months.

She pleaded guilty to the charge of causing death by careless driving in March.
