With temperatures hovering near to freezing point, police in the Fens lost their cool tonight with youngsters causing a disturbance.

Faced with tackling anti social behaviour issues in both Chatteris and March, an exasperated officer took to social media to let rip.

“Local officers have been responding to reports of antisocial behaviour in March and Chatteris this evening,” he posted to the Policing March and Chatteris Facebook group.

“Several youths were spoken to and taken home to mummy and daddy. It’s cold and it’s late,

“Why bother?”

He rounded off his comment with the hashtag #GetALife
