Expenses of MPs and Cambridgeshire police commissioner are revealed

MPs serving the Fens claimed more than £22,000 in expenses in a two-month period last year.
The figures come after a parliamentary watchdog body released details of expenses claimed nationally, which totalled £4.85million.
NE Cambs MP Steve Barclay claimed £9,429.24 in August and September, while NW Norfolk MP Henry Bellingham claimed £10,666.95.
SW Norfolk MP Elizabeth Truss, who came under fire for claiming £2,579.67 for gas and electricity at her second home between 2012 and 2013, claimed the least of the trio, asking for £2,580.32.
Mr Bellingham’s biggest expense was £1,970.82 for buildings insurance, which he listed as an “accommodation cost” and £1,838.04 spent on renting his office.
His lowest claim was for food and drink costing 90p.
Mr Barclay’s biggest expense was rent at a total of £5,091.67 and his lowest 29p for some foldback stationery clips.
Ms Truss’s biggest expense was legal expenses for £577.70 and her lowest a stationery claim for £1.
All MPs’ expenses are published following the parliamentary scandal in 2009, which was exposed by The Daily Telegraph in 2009.
It followed failed attempts by Parliament to prevent disclosure under Freedom of Information legislation.
• Cambridgeshire police have revealed details of expenses claimed by commissioner Sir Graham Bright, whose office cost £885,312.99 in one year, including salaries.
Sir Graham’s budgeting information shows that between November 2012 and November 2013 there was £1,742.14 of spending described as Police and Crime Commissioner car allowances staff.
There was also £10 of mince pies and £5 of tea machine coins for a police commissioner visit.
