The New Business of the Year award went to Norman Woods Publishing after judges were impressed with the quality of materials produced to support language learning in schools.
Founded in May 2013 by cousins Kate Woods and Carrie Norman, its first set of books were published under the company brand Beelingual UK.
It specialises in dual language children’s books, initially in Lithuanian with other languages and titles underway. All books have been written, illustrated and designed by Carrie and Kate.
The Judges said: “We were really impressed with the quality of materials produced to support language learning in schools and beyond and the potential to extend production to books covering many different languages.
“A genuine rising star and worthy winners of the New Business Award.”
