Football fans got a blast from the past at Wisbech Town on Friday evening.

Fenmen stalwarts Jackie Gallagher and Roy McManus were joined by former managers Keith Rudd and Ian Benjamin for the club’s Legends Evening, hosted by current boss, Dick Creasey.

The former favourites entertained over 60 people with anecdotes from the Elgoods Fenland Stadium over their playing years.

Richard Meek, chairman of Wisbech Town Supporters’ Club, who organised the event, said “lt was a brilliant evening with lots of laughter and reminiscing.

“A massive thank you must go to our panel and those who turned out for what we hope will be the first of many such events.”
