Firefighters tackled a burning car on the A47 near Thorney yesterday.

One crew from Whittlesey and one crew from Dogsthorpe were called to the car on the A47 eastbound Thorney Bypass at 9.10pm.

Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to extinguish the fire, which was caused by faulty electrical equipment, before returning to their stations by 10.05pm.
