The March Indoor Bowls club are holding a free taster day for anyone wanting to give the sport a try.

The open day, held at the club in Robingoodfellows Lane, takes place on Sunday, September 2 where there will be three 90 minute sessions.

All equipment needed to get you started is provided by the club on the day and if you do not have bowls shoes the club suggests you bring a pair of socks to wear on the green.

A spokesman said: “Book your spot now, a warm welcome awaits and our club coach will soon have you bowling and scoring goals from the penalty spot.

“Children aged 8 plus are more than welcome but must be accompanied by a responsible adult. They can come in their football strip to add a littlemore excitement.”

Sessions, which need to be booked in advanced, start at 10am, 11.30am and 2pm.
