Firefighters rescued a horse from a water filled ditch today.

Two crews from Dogsthorpe (including the rescue vehicle) and one crew from Wisbech were called to reports of a trapped horse in Redmoor Lane, Begdale, at about noon.

They used an ice rescue platform to free the horse, before returning to their stations by 2.30pm.
