MARCH school children learnt about how different life was in World War II on a special themed morning.
Colin Bedford, who lived in March during the war, visited Cavalry Primary school to give a talk and brought with him artefacts from the 1940s.
Fiona Davis, who teaches at the school, was thrilled with the childrens response to Mr Bedford.
She said: “They were spellbound by his stories. I’ve never seen them so quiet. “They have not been talking about anything else since.
“He even had them marching around the hall like they were members of the Home Guard.”
Three teachers from the school have done their bit for charity by growing moustaches for Movember.
Ed Myland, Rune Webb and Damien Homden have so far raised more than £150 for charity,
