Children decorated plant pots and presented them to residents at one of the town’s care homes yesterday.

Year 6 Cavalry Primary School pupils visited Springfield Avenue in March as part of Growing Together, a project designed to bring the young and older generations together.

For four weeks this summer, pupils from Cavalry and Burrowmoor Primary Schools will visit the residential home to bake, garden and get to know the residents.
