THE Whittlesey Wash road is closed due to flooding but motorists are still trying to drive along it.
Police have been alerted and are in attendance.
The Environment Agency has imposed a flood warning for the B1040 Thorney to Whittlesey Road to the south of the River Nene
A spokesman said: “The Whittlesey washes are storing water. At the moment the level is static. It cannot empty due to high river flows. The B1040 will remain under water for several days.”
