Westwood Junior School hosted the Friends Pow-wow Awareness Day to showcase the Native American culture, music, dance and crafts.

Teepees were set up in the school fields, dance demonstrations took place in the classrooms and Native American style fry-bread topped the list of refreshments.

British enthusiasts dressed in authentic regalia for the day to join their Native American guests.

There were a host of workshops and activities, with the venue transforming in the evening for Spirit Notes - a concert including singing, hoop dancing, flutes and drums and a raffle.
