The highlight of the event will be a Spitfire flypast to commemorate the Battle of Britain at 1.40pm.

A parade will leave Bevill’s Place at 10.30am and parade towards the memorial.

There will also be a Scouts Parade which will depart from Elwym Road, behind the Town Hall, at 1.30pm, parading to St Peter’s Church for a 2pm service.

The church is also holding a Songs of Praise at 10.45am, as well as pig racing and a craft fair throughout the day.

An art exhibition will be staged by Richard Savage, Marian Savill and John Abbott.

Fenland’s finest performers will take to two separate stages - The Georges Stage line up includes Young Cambridgeshire’s Got Talent entries, singers Misty Jones and Luci Collins, cover band Wild Honey, band Gifford and Edenstone.

On the Memorial Stage, there will be performances from the Air Training Corps Marching Band, Burrowmoor Primary School Choir and Band, Dance Mania, Sarah’s Street Style Dance, March Youth Theatre, Elvis impersonator Gary Jay, Morris dancers from Ely and Littleport Riot and MADAOS.

Skippered Boat trips will set off from March Town Bridge every half hour from 10.30-4.30pm.

A duck race will be held at the Town Bridge at 4pm and circus workshops will be run where you can attempt juggling, plate spinning and unicycle riding.

March Museum will be open from 10am-5pm and will feature a Victorian wash day, where you can wash your dirty linen.

Mayor of March Councillor Andrew Pugh said: “Whatever your age or background, we like to think there will be something here for everyone.

“This year, more than ever before, we have a packed programme of activities and entertainments for you to enjoy.”
