The sun shone on a care home summer fete as people enjoyed an afternoon of family fun.

Cedar Court Care Home in Whittlesey hosted the day which was opened by the Mayor and Mayoress of Whittlesey, Councillor David Mason and his wife Ann.

During the day there was a bouncy castle, face painting, guess the teddy’s name, face painting, games, bric a brac, stalls and live singers.

There was a steel band, raffle, book stall, car boot stalls and an ice cream van.

The aim was to have entertainment and songs to take residents down memory lane and fun for all ages so that the whole family could have an enjoyable afternoon.

The event was the first of its kind to be organised by owner Nick Somani who took over the care home in June last year.
