Fen Stars’ tribute

THE week after his death the start of a football match in Wisbech was delayed for a tribute.

Mr Bosson had played for Wisbech Fen Stars and the club held the minute’s silence before their 4-2 home win against bottom club Dataracts Elite.

Opening scorer on the day was his friend, Carl Parsons.

An inquest into the death of Adam Bosson, 24, of Goddard Crescent opened today at Peterborough Town Hall and is expected to conclude tomorrow.

Mr Bosson was found dead in the cells at Peterborough Magistrates Court hours after being sentenced to a week in prison for non-payment of a £90 fine for drugs possession.

Many of his friends and family set up a Facebook tribute page following his death on February 20, 2008.

It was later linked with a tribute to Mr Bosson’s friend, Carl Parsons, 25, of Walsoken, who died in a car crash in Berkshire in September 2010.

Mr Bosson was described by his friends as “a great young man who is gonna be missed”. An uncle, writing on Facebook, said: “What a great bunch of mates you had Adam. I’m sure everyone misses you as much as we do.”

Another tribute said how they “miss you every day Adam. Not a minute goes by when you are not in my thoughts. I never knew I could miss someone so much.

“The pain you experience when you lose someone is indescribable.”

Today’s inquest was told that Mr Bosson was checked twice in his cell and found to be okay but was later found collapsed.

The inquest heard that Mr Bosson, at the time of his death, had been hoping to join the Army.

The inquest continues tomorrow.
