The Year 12 Business Studies students visited Greenvale AP in order to learn more about how the Company works.

AS level students are currently taking a module in recruitment in the workplace and for their coursework students need to know how a large sized company identifies job vacancies, creates a person specification, job description, job advertisements and job application.

During their visit to the Floods Ferry site students had a brief site tour to familiarise themselves with the range of roles within the company.

The site tour was followed by a recruitment and selection workshop delivered by Jurgita Zitkeviciene, Senior HR Officer which included how to select employees and the legal issues affecting recruitment.

Mrs Harte said “It was a very hands on approach for students to see how a large Human Resource department operates and the constraints that organisations come up against when trying to recruit.

“We really appreciate a local business giving Neale-Wade Academy students the opportunity to see this first hand”.

The support given by Greenvale will focus on the school as a whole and will be led by what the school and its pupils need.

In addition, Greenvale AP aims to raise aspirations for the school and their pupils by building sustained, long-term relationships whilst offering advice, mentoring and guidance for the future.
