Leverington school suffers break-in

Burglars stole power tools from a school shed on Wednesday.

They broke into the outbuilding at Leverington Primary School, in Church Road, Leverington, between 8pm and 9pm and stole a Mountfield lawnmower, Stihl hedge trimmer, strimmer and garden vacuum, Rocol paint applier, 42 piece socket set and a Stanley air compressor.

PC Colin Johnson said: “I would appeal to anyone who saw any vehicles or people acting suspiciously in the area at the time.

“I would also urge anyone who has been offered the items for sale to call police.”

A man was arrested in Soham last Thursday for possession of a class A and B drugs, alongside handling stolen goods as part of East Cambridgeshire Police’s latest crack-down.
