The Zoll AED Plus defibrillator, which can make the difference between life and death when someone goes in to cardiac arrest, has been installed in a cabinet in March Town Cricket Club’s pavilion.
It can also be accessed by members of March Squash Club, March Hockey Club, March Bowls Club and the junior Boys and Girls Football Teams.
The defibrillator has been funded through a donation from the former Isle of Ely Football League and a grant from the British Heart Foundation.

March Town Cricket Club chairman Les Mills said: “In the event of a sudden cardiac arrest the emergency services respond quickly however we live in a rural area so the use of the AED Defibrillator in the time before the ambulance arrives could potentially
“The machine is fully automated and tells the user what to do. We are extremely grateful to the generous donation from the former Isle of Ely Football League and the grant received from the British Heart Foundation.”
