Lorry fire at Doddington

Firefighters from Chatteris and a crew from March were called to a lorry fire at a farm in Turf Fen Lane, Doddington.

A heavy goods vehicle located inside a building was on fire on Wednesday August 27 at 3.50pm.

Firefighters cut away at the cab of the lorry to gain access to the fire and extinguished it wearing breathing apparatus and using hose reels.

Crews returned to their stations by 5.20pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental by equipment.
