Man arrested in Humberside for alleged sexual assaults on girls 8 and 10 in Whittlesey

A man has been arrested after two young girls were sexually assaulted in Whittlesey.

Police were called to reports that two girls, aged eight and 10, had been assaulted by a man in the town on Sunday evening.

Enquiries were carried out and a 50-year-old man was arrested in Humberside last night.

He is currently in custody and will be transferred to Cambridgeshire for questioning.

The girls were not injured in the incident.
