A man in his 20s found dead in Chatteris has been named locally as Dan Waller.

The 26 year-old was confirmed dead by police who were called to a house in Burnsfield Street at noon on Saturday.

“We were called to a sudden death at a property in Burnsfield Street, Chatteris, at just after 12.30pm on Saturday,” said a police spokesman.

“The death of the man, who was in his 20s, is not being treated as suspicious and has been passed to the coroner.”

Dan Waller had recently been released from prison earlier this month and had been electronically tagged.
