A driver who crashed this car near Wisbech and fled has been arrested following a police appeal.

The collision happened in High Road, Gorefield, on Friday night when police came across this VW Golf which had hit a tree.

On their Facebook page, Wisbech Police launched an appeal for witnesses to the incident and reported that the driver had “made off from the scene”.

A police spokesman said today: “We have interviewed a man about the crash and he’s been reported for driving without due care and attention.

“He’s also been reported for leaving the scene of a collision.”
