Manea Brownies mark milestone birthday with series of challenges

Girls from a Fenland Brownie group have completed a series of challenges to mark the 100th anniversary of the girlguiding organisation.
Seventeen 1st Manea Brownie youngsters, aged from seven to 10 years-old, visited Manea pits, learnt Morse code and spent a night in the village hall as part of The Big Brownie Birthday Challenge.
At the end of the challenge, each girl received a Big Brownie Birthday Challenge badge.
Brownie leader Courtney Miller said: “Seeing the girls take on the Big Brownie Birthday Challenge has been fantastic. “They’ve learnt loads of new skills, had a huge amount of fun and were really chuffed to get such a special badge.”
