Mechanical fault blamed for car which caught alight in Fenland town

A crew tackled a car fire in Whittlesey yesterday.

Two firefighters were called to Peterborough Road at 6.25pm and extinguished the fire, which was caused by a mechanical fault, before returning to their stations by 7.05pm.
