More success for Chatteris Town Band at Spring Festival in Norwich

CHATTERIS Town Band has continued its glorious winning streak after triumphing for the second year in a row at a Spring Festival in Norwich.

The brass band won the B section at last year’s East Anglian Brass Band Association event at St Andrew’s Hall in Norwich. However, under the guidance of Jayne Murrill, CTB has rapidly grown to an A section band.

Their improvement was shown once more when they clinched the Section A Brass Band title at this month’s event and are likely to compete in the Championship Section next year.

A family in March had a lucky escape last night after heavy winds caused a 30-foot tree to fall in their garden and miss their home – and the family rabbit hutch - by a matter of feet.
