A motorcyclist who died in a three-vehicle road crash in Norfolk has been named as 60 year old Ian Lodge.
An inquest heard that Mr Lodge, from Terrington St Clement, was riding his motorcycle towards Swaffham when he failed to negotiate a left hand bend.
As a result, the motorcycle collided with another vehicle, on the A1065 at Hillborough, just south of Swaffham on July 2, and the bike went across the carriageway into the path of an oncoming vehicle.
Mr Lodge, of Churchgate Way, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
A post-mortem examination was carried out and the cause of death was given as multiple injuries. The full inquest will be held on November 11.
Emergency services were called to the accident at about 12.25pm following the crash which involved a Citroen Xsara, a Yamaha motorcycle and a lorry.
The male and female occupant of the Xsara were taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn with minor injuries. The lorry driver was uninjured.
The A1065 between the junctions of Great Cressingham Road and the B1108 was closed.
