Three large bales of hay have been left on the roadside in Whittlesey this afternoon.

Fenland Police found the bundles on the A605 close to the junction with Cemetary Road. They are now searching for the mysterious owner of the farming fodder,

They asked their followers on Twitter: “Has any one lost some hay?”

A police spokesman said they were called at around 12.05pm, adding: “They were causing an obstruction in the road close to the junction with Cemetery Road. Officers attended the scene and removed the bales.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101 and quote incident 165 of Monday, September 24.
