BURGLARS broke into a school in Whittlesey, caused damage to a portable building and stole a games console and cables in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Offenders broke into Alderman Jacobs School, Drybread Road, between 2.40am and 2.55am yesterday.

Detective Constable Rachel Pearce said: I am keen to hear from anyone who may have any information about the theft.

Were working with the school, but I would like local residents to call us if they have any information or saw anything suspicious in the area.

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
