More than 400 pupils took just 20 minutes to create the symbol of peace which was captured thanks to a drone camera operated by teacher Adam Pallister.

It is the first time they have attempted the photo from the air and it was such a success they are already planning something bigger and better for next year’s centenary of the end of WW1.

Mr Pallister, who teaches Year 6, said: “It only took 20 minutes, it went very smoothly.

“Year six wore black tops and the rest their usual red school sweatshirts. We had spent time planning how we would stand, using mathematics and then chalking it all out.

“The children were really well behaved so it went brilliantly wit no problems.”

Mr pallister owns the drone and qualified in his commercial pilots licence earlier this year as part of a business he runs away from school called Music-AV.

“We’ve already thought about what we can do for next year, so it will definitely be back for 2018,” he said.
