Cake decorating, archery, drawing cartoons and first aid were among a range of activities on offer for youngsters at Burrowmoor School when they held an enrichment day.

The aim of the day was to give children at the March school a chance to try out activities they wouldn’t normally get an opportunity to have a go at.

Other hobbies on offer were making bird feeders, yoga, tile painting iPad programming with Neale-Wade Academy students and pet care sessions.

It is the second year the school has run the event and it has proved such a success it plans to make it an annual fixture on the school calendar.

Children across all the years took part in the event in small groups which meant they had plenty of time to learn new skills.
