Rapid response paramedics were scrambled after a man suffered a seizure in Isleham in the early hours of this morning (Thursday).

East of England Ambulance crews were joined by Magpas Helimedix at an address in Isleham shortly after 4am following reports that man in his 60s had suffered a seizure.

Magpas team Doctor Jon Birks and paramedic Alex Pearce arrived at the address via the charity’s rapid response car.

A spokesman said: “The Magpas team assessed the patient, whose condition greatly improved. The ambulance crew then took the man to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in a land ambulance, for further observation.”

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said the man wasn’t thought to be in a serious condition.
