Road re-opens as lorry which went off the road and hit a tree is recovered

A MAJOR road through the Fens has re-opened after a 40 tonne careered off and hit a tree,
Articulated lorry crash on the A141 near to Peas Hill, March.Cambs County Council put in place an emergency road closure after the lorry left the A141 near March, Cambs. It was raining heavily at the time.
The A141 Isle of Ely Way was closed westbound between the B1101 Wimblington Road junction and the B1099 Wisbech Road junction.
A county council spokesman confirmed that northbound traffic was originally being kept flowing and with southbound traffic diverted through March.
However once recovery work got under the road had to be closed in both directions for a time.
