A Fenland man has organised a charity disco and auction in support of a school friend who is battling cancer.
Organiser Joe Johnson’s friend Oliver Borman, 25, was diagnosed with Lymphoma cancer in April and is undergoing chemotherapy.
The met at Terrington St Clement High School and have been friends for the past 10 years.
The event, in aid of Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research, takes place at Sutton St James Village Hall on November 23 from 7.30-11.45pm.
Mr Johnson said: “The charity has been fantastic. Hopefully this event with get Oliver out of the house.
He has not wanted to come out as much since the diagnosis. It would be great to raise money for a good cause.”
There will be a bar, disco and charity auction with items including a Norwich City 2013/14 kit, a signed Ryan Giggs shirt, Black Sabbath signed merchandise, ladies beauty treatments, horse racing vouchers and greyhound vouchers.
Meals, drinks and gifts from local businesses will also be up for grabs.

Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research is the only UK charity dedicated to improving the lives of patients with all types of blood cancer, including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
Their life-saving research is focused on finding causes, improving diagnosis and treatments, and running clinical trials for all blood cancer patients.
