TOXICOLOGY tests carried out on the remains of murdered Wisbech teenager Alisa Dmitrijeva appear to show that she had not taken drugs immediately before her death, police revealed today.

It comes after the Daily Mail claimed that Alisa, 17, whose body was found on the Royal Estate at Sandringham on New Year’s Day, was in debt to a drug dealer.

Today Det Chief Insp Jes Fry, who is leading the hunt for Alisa’s killer, said further tests would be carried out.

“I am keen that the suggestion that Alisa was involved in taking controlled drugs should not colour the willingness of people to engage with my staff,” he added.

“Inquiries are continuing to build up the victimology in relation to Alisa, and I would ask that people do not lose sight of the fact that a young girl has lost her life.

“Her family are devastated and I would encourage anyone with information to contact us, even anonymously.”

Alisa, who lived at Railway Road, Wisbech, was last seen in the early hours of August 31.

She is believed to have attended a beach party at Snettisham - around five miles from where her body was found.

Police have been searching the remote stretch of beach for Alisa’s black LG mobile phone, which has not yet been recovered.

Detectives are appealing for members of the Latvian, Lithuanian and Russian communities to come forward if they were at the beach party or have any other information concerning Alisa’s movements.
