Seven students at a Fenland academy have become ambassadors in recognition of their contributions to school life.

Chloe Spencer, Louis Ayres and Henry Galley, Year 11 students of Neale-Wade Academy in March, and Year 10 students Molly Smethurst, Alena Crawford, Lauren Ward and George Garford met criteria in five leadership areas.

These include classroom participation, leadership in tutor groups and in extra-curricular activity, innovation and taking part in activities outside of school.

Principal Jason Wing said, “I’m proud of what these students have achieved in such a short time, they are a credit to the academy.

“I am sure that these seven leaders will encourage others to recognise how their own contributions make a real difference to others.”

Chloe, 16, said: “It’s great to be recognised for all the right reasons.”

Henry, 16, added: “I’m really excited about accepting the new responsibility, I am sure that my experiences will help me in the future.”
