Richard Hull, of Whittlesey, captured the landing at Ferry Meadows in Peterborough, naming his photo “The Lewis Hamilton of Swan Lake”.

His projected digital image clinched the silverware at the competition, which was held at the Red Cross Hall on Thursday and had 51 entries including 18 prints.

Judge Alan Livingstone, of King’s Lynn Camera Club, praised the high standard of entries.

He placed Cliff Marsh’s print of two American bison in the dust in second position, with third equal going to ‘Bird on the wing’ by Richard Hull and ‘Small skipper butterfly’ by Albert Horton.
