Fred Smith jr wanted by Cambs police in connection with Peterborough shootings

A MAN wanted in connection with a shooting in Peterborough has links with Wisbech, police revealed today.

They are appealing to the public to help trace Fred Smith (known as Fred Smith junior), a 23 year-old traveller.

He is wanted for questioning following an incident at Oxney Road travellers’ site in Peterborough last month in which three men were shot.

Detective Inspector Dave Grierson said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who has information about Fred’s whereabouts or believes they may have seen him since September 17.

“I would also make a direct plea to Fred - please hand yourself in to officers it is important we speak to you.”

Anyone with information should contact the Major Crime Unit on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
