Two people had to be freed from a car after a multi vehicle collision in March on Saturday.

The crash took place at the Gaul Road junction at about 1.25pm.

One crew from Wisbech and one crew from March attended the scene. They returned to their stations by 3.10pm.

A policeman, on Facebook, said: “It seems to be widely accepted that it is a bit of an accident blackspot as far as the Fens are concerned.

“Someone has decided to use that junction to park up cars which are advertised for sale, I’ve noticed lots of different cars.

“Recently I saw three cars sat on the verge near Sharman Fabrications, right on the junction. It’s an obvious distraction on a crossroads.

“If someone knows who is advertising them there, could they have a polite word to suggest that they may want to move them elsewhere?”

A spokesman for developers Cannon Kirk who are responsible for the installation of traffic lights at the junction said their engineers were working closely with the county council to get them up and running.

“We are aware of the problems at this junction and we are working as quickly as possible to resolve outstanding issues,2 said a spokesman.
