Man in his 60s airlifted to hospital following serious assault in Wisbech - arrest made

A man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm after a man in his 60s had to be airlifted following an assault.

The victim was left with serious injuries after the assault in the Old Market Place at 10pm yesterday (22nd April).

Officers are appealing for anyone who saw the attack to contact them with information by calling 101 quoting CF0212370418

The man is still in police custody, said Cambridgeshire Police.
