Two dazzling firework displays will light up the sky at Wisbech St Mary Primary School during a night of family entertainment.
The bonfire and firework spectacular will be raising funds for the school, and takes place on Saturday November 9.
This is the 26th year that the school has staged the event. Rebecca Lee, the chairman of the school’s parent, teacher and friends association, said: “ Bonfire night would not be complete without the annual fireworks spectacular at Wisbech St Mary Primary School.
“We have again employed the services of a professional pyrotechnic company, who will be using some new, awe-inspiring fireworks as part of their display to make the event one to remember.
“The gates will open at 5.15pm, with the bonfire being lit at 5.30pm and there will be displays of fireworks at 6.15pm and 7.30pm.”
There will be a variety of side stalls, including tombolas, hook-a-duck, hoopla, roundabouts, and a raffle. To keep the cold at bay there will be traditional food available including a hog roast, burgers, pizza, fish and chips, hot dogs, doughnuts, sweets, mushy peas, jacket potatoes and hot and cold drinks.
Mrs Lee added: “All the money raised is used to provide extras for the children, and in the past it has been used to buy computers, educational videos and books, and to pay for treats including Christmas parties and fantastic new playground equipment.”
Tickets cost £4 for adults and £3 for children up to 12 years old.
