Estover Park under-11s girls team can look forward to turning out in a new away kit after their cake stall raised more than £160.
The girls, dressed in their home kit, sold cakes at a stall in Natwest before going door to door on the High Street with trays to sell the cakes, which they made with their parents, to the town’s businesses.
The team was given a further boost when Natwest employee Miranda Horne secured them a £250 community grant, which will be spent on training equipment.
Kevin Playford, who manages the team with Louise Grist, was thrilled with how the day unfolded.
He said: “It was a great day and there was a fantastic turnout. We raised enough to buy new away kits and some training equipment.
“We would like to thank Natwest and all the local businesses for being very generous. We may even have found ourselves a shirt sponsor.”
